Google in Russia has a really big competitor named Yandex which knows russian culture and context as a native. That's why we've decided to build an integrated campaign using one of the most important parts of russian culture to show that Google understood Russia and russians. Yes, it's classical literature and mostly Anton Chekhov's works. The result of the campaign was a 24-hr YouTube-livestream video featuring 800 readers across 10 time zones reading 42 works by Anton Chekhov - 750,000 real-time viewers across 105 countries.
